    Riots, protests and sit-ins are all the rage this year. WNMU MeCHA and Native American Club students and supporters are still staging a 24/7 sit-in at the MeCHA building on campus.  Everyone is welcome to join, drop by, be a part. Order a pizza and stay a while.

    ENERGY-$AVINGS FAIR.  4-7 pm, Silver City Public Library.  The Library and PNM team up to help people take charge of their energy bills.  PNM will demonstrate the Kill A Watt meter that measures home appliances for energy use.  (Meters will be available free from the Library.)  Other entities provide information on saving energy. 
    Grant County Commission Board Regular Session. 5:30pm. Commissioners’ Meeting Room, Grant Co Admin Center, 1400 Hwy 180E.     Silver City-Grant County Tea Party Patriots Regular Meeting. 6 pm. Red Barn Steakhouse.   A new slate of officers begins. .
   1st Degree Reiki6-9 pm.  Free talk and demonstration. A traditional healing art on how to channel energy to yourself and others for the purpose healing.    Holistic Home Health 6-8PM @ GMS, 1731 N. Alabama St (childcare provided).  With Naava Koenigsberg and Amber Luikart, a joint presentation from a Clinical Herbalist and a Physician Assistant to give balanced information about common ailments, preventative care and first aid. Participants learn how to build their own toolbox of time tested remedies, as well as how to tell when outside help should be sought. Actor Edward Wallace portrays former slave James Beckwouth in the era when the west was still wild ...he trapped, lived with the Native Americans and had a wonderful and adventure filled life.
