     Book Discussion and Signing with Steven Havill.  11 am. Silver City Public Library.  Accomplished mystery writer discusses his newest book and some of his older ones.  Havill, from Datil, NM,  has written four western novels, 18 contemporary mysteries set in fictitious Posadas County, NM, and two historical medical novels set in the Puget Sound area during the 1890s. Harley Shaw and Mara Weisenberger about  a chronicle of a young man from a West Texas ranching family with a driving ambition to be a professional naturalist and writer. Shaw,a wildlife consultant and retired research biologist, now lives in Hillsboro, where he is secretary of the Hillsboro Historical Society.  Weisenberger is currently a Wildlife Biologist with the Fish and Wildlife Service,
    WILD & SCENIC FILM FESTIVAL: Films to Change Your World.  2 pm.  Silco Theater, 311 N Bullard St.  Kids' program with  nine films, including animated.  Doors open at 1:30 with face painting, fun activities, and healthy snacks before films begin.  $5 per family.
