Bike Works Community Bike Ride: Saturdays 10 a.m. - 2p.m. Meet at our main
(Root) Shop behind the Recreation Center at 10am if you need to borrow a bike
or helmet or need a quick adjustment. Meet at our new Downtown (Branch) Shop at
10:30am if you're ready to roll. Bring water, plans for lunch, and a sense of
exploration. Riding on roads & trails, the difficulty is determined by the

Earth Day celebration in Gough Park. 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Fun and informative for all
ages. Food, entertainment, plant sales. Meet representatives from lots of local
organizations working to make our area a great place to live. For information

The High Desert Humane Society is holding their
next Adoption Day at the upcoming Earth Day Celebration. 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Gough Park. The Animal
Friends of New Mexico will be there to help with this fun event. Also, they
will be collecting used ink cartridges and aluminum cans at their booth for
fundraising...please bring any you have and want to recycle!
Earth Day e-waste and recycling collection. 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the parking lot South of
Gough Park, entrance on 11th St. Recycle all electronic equipment,
anything that has a plug or is battery operated. Recycle clean dry paper
products; most plastic containers; glass bottles and jars; tin and aluminum
cans. Recycle unbroken, burned out CFL’s. 519-8987. Free.
