Fire June 28th PM Update- The Silver Fire continues to burn toward
Reeds Peak to the NW and North. The South and East flanks of the fire
are out and cold. The containment is 35%. The extreme weather has
passed but the potential still exists for extreme fire behavior. The
weather forecast calls for 20% chance of Thunderstorms with potential
for dry lightning and a slight chance for wetting rain. Structure
protection continues in the Cooney area.

- Bike Works Community Bike Ride: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Meet at our main (Root) Shop behind the Recreation Center at 10am if you need to borrow a bike or helmet or need a quick adjustment. Meet at our new Downtown (Branch) Shop at 10:30am if you're ready to roll. Bring water, plans for lunch, and a sense of exploration. Riding on roads & trails, the difficulty is determined by the riders who show up. Info 388-1444.
- The Grant County Community Concert Association (GCCCA) Early 4th of July concert. 2 p.m. WNMU Fine Arts Center Theater. N. Kentucky St. Mesilla Valley Concert Band joined by members of Grant County’s own Concert Band of the Southwest. FREE. Early Bird subscription available for regular season $40.
