Facebook...... I have finally discovered facebook. Would you please be my friend?? They should call it neighbour... Reminiscent of the Mr. Rogers show, if your old enough to remember that. Funny to think that now Mr Rogers is almost a generation removed. Anyway, Back to this face book thing. Social networking on the web is the hot new thing. I have had a myspace page for about a year now, but found the format somewhat.... technical. Although myspace does allow for flashy profiles, facebook makes finding friends and getting involved much easier. Friends share with the universe the minutia of our daily lives. After establishing an account I found myself posting updates on my life such as, "leaving house to pick up pizza", "At domino's pizza waiting for pizza", "driving home with Pizza","at home eating Pizza". Facebook is for the voyeur in all of us. Occasionally people post things that are of greater importance like; "stopped terrorist attack on Hover dam", but 99.9% is really just the daily details. Our lives are mostly just that; "eating breakfast", "Leaving for work", but they are our lives and knowing what the people I care about are doing it makes me feel a greater connection. I like it.
