    SILVER CITY DAY OF THE DEAD SHRINE SHOW. A self guided tour of shrines at downtown businesses and galleries. Twenty-one artist shrines showcased in 14 locations throughout downtown Silver City. Map available at all participating locations. Through  November 14

    COMMUNITY FORUM ON IMMIGRATION.  6-8 pm, WNMU Miller Library.  With panelists Sheriff Raul Villanueva, running for re-election and Wayne Olver, candidate for sheriff; Jake Rollow, Sen Bin gaman’s office; Peter Falley, ACLU President; Alfonso and Ruthie Dalton, Mayvis Johnson, community members.   Dinner and dessert served afterwards.  Sponsored by WNMU American National Government class.

   Compassionate Friends of Grant County. 6:30- 8 pm, Episcopal Church, 7 and Texas Sts. The Compassionate Friends offer a comforting network of support, friendship and understanding to bereaved families who have experienced the death of a child.  313-7362.
