  • Tai Chi: Moving for Better Balance. 12 p.m. (noon) – 1 p.m. Silver City Recreation Center, 1016 N. Silver St. Based on traditional Tai Chi, this program works for all people.   • Opening Reception for “FeVa Faves” 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.  Mimbres Region Arts Council.   Presenting a combination of FeVa Fotos phptography from near and far. Included in the show will be moments in time captured by camera of our national parks, wildlife, diverse landscape and a few unusual shots that have become favorites of these photographers as well as those who choose to collect their work.

  • SWNM Audubon Society Monthly Program.  7 p.m. Harlan Hall, WNMU.  Pat Espenak will give a slide presentation on her trips to The Far Side of Antarctica.
  • First Friday Audubon Program.  7 p.m. WNMU- Harlan Hall, 12th Street & Alabama, Silver City.  Patricia Espenak, presenter of this program, is a retired chemistry teacher, will share her experiences from a trip to Antarctica in November of 2003. The talk will feature photos of a plethora of penguins as well as other Antarctic wildlife.   Light refreshments will be served after the program.  Free and open to the public.
