A quiet reflective Service of Vespers in the Celtic tradition. 5:30 p.m. Good Shepherd Episcopal Church [Texas & 7th, Silver City - entrance off parking lot off 6th]. Remembrance of modern "saints" of all faiths. Bring a little something if you can to share for a Potluck dinner following.
End Polio Now Reception. 5:30 p.m., First Church of Harmony, Arizona & 7th Streets in Silver City. Rotary District Governor Mark Glenn will discuss the success and current status of the program to completely eradicate polio world-wide. Admission is free and snacks and refreshments will be available. Donations to the Rotary Foundation’s Polio Plus program will be welcome. Trekwest – Taking the Wildway Home. 5:30 – 7:30pm, WNMU Global Resource Center – 12th & Kentucky. Outdoor adventurer John Davis will speak on his 5,000 mile human powered journey from Mexico to Canada. Snacks and invited guest speakers from local conservation organizations and elected officials.
